Congo-Kinshasa: State forces accuse the M23 rebel group of taking over nine districts

The statement issued by the Congolese State Army (FARDC), says that the M23 rebels have retaken their bases in 9 areas they had left, which is a deliberate violation of the decisions taken by the leaders of East African countries.

M23, is  also said to have captured areas such as  Kibarizo, Kabalekasha, Kirumbu, Bukombo, Rugogwe, Busumba, and Burungu in Masisi Territory.

M23 rebels ,have also captured Ruhunda Hill  (Kibumba ) in Nyiragongo Territory but It was said that FARDC, prevented the plan of M23 which aimed to capture this area of Kibumba in the attack that was launched on Monday in the morning hours.

on the other hand, the M23 rebel  group,  is accusing the government forces, of returning to the Mushaki area with the help of the Burundian forces.

It is an action condermned by M23 rebels ,as violation of the Luanda and Nairobi resolutions, taken by regional leaders and that could lead to further fighting.
