Gen Kulayigye made this remarks  on the 9th July 2022 in an interview  with  BBC Program known as Imvo n’Imvano   when he was asked  question  concerning to  the  role of Rwanda and Uganda  in supporting  M23 .

Gen. Felix Kulayigye replayed to the Journalist that Uganda has never and it will not support M23 in any way and added that   recently when   FARDC troops were defeated by M23 in Bunagana and  fled to Uganda territory and where they  received worm  welcome .

According to Gen. Kulayigye, the problem of M23 is based on ethnicity   because Congolese leader and people do not like   Tutsi ethnic groups in the region.

“The M23 is not the only Armed group operating in DR Congo, and it has not been involved in killing as many people as ADF NALU, CODECO and other anti-Congolese government groups operated in Beni and Ituri . Currently, in DR Congo there are about 192 armed groups on its territory, but the Congolese Army has not been able to neutralize or disarm any of them.  It is only focusing on fighting M23 group because is made up by Rwanda-Congolese from Tutsi Ethnic Group”. Said Gen Kulaigye
