Currently, in DR Congo there are about 192 armed groups on its territory, but the Congolese Army has not been able to neutralize or disarm any of them. It is only focusing on fighting M23 group because is made up by Rwanda-Congolese from Tutsi Ethnic Group”. Said Gen Kulaigye

He also added that M23 had agreed with the government to make a joint military operation in order to fight and disarm these ethnic Armed Groups like Mai Mai , ADF NALU and FDLR among others. Unexpectedly Congolese government has chosen to work with FDLR and Mai Mai rebel Groups to fight M23 .
