On February 6, rebel groups who have been working with FARDC in the ongoing war with M23, are waiting to receive more weapons that were delivered to the city of Goma last night.
These rebels, had recently accused the Major General Chico Tshitambwe that he had withheld these weapons while they were fighting in the Masisi area, where M23 killed more than 200 of them.
This Caused General Tchico Tshitambweo be summoned to Kinshasa to explain himself how he is collaborating with the enemy.
Some leaders of these rebel groups who were supposed to receive weapons from FARDC, had arrived in Goma on 5 February 2023 but because they had not arrived all, were asked to return today on the 6 Fefruary 2023.
These weapons are being given while the resolutions of the meeting of the Presidents in the region, are demanding that this country should approach the M23 rebels to find a solution to the problem of insecurity in eastern Congo.
Eastern Congo has been at war for some time particularly in North Kivu, a war that the M23 rebel group says is being waged by the Congolese government.
However, the Congolese government also accuses these rebels of being the cause of this war.
The Congolese Government is going to give these weapons to various rebel groups that have been cooperating with the FARDC against the M23 wich could make this war more intense.
