The Republic of Niger has expelled eight Rwandan. According to a statement released on December 27,2021 by Hamadou Adamou Souley the Nigel Minister of interior and Decentralization ordered them to leave Niger within seven Days.
The Men were convicted of 1994 Genoside against Tutsi and had completed their sentences or acquitted. They had transferred to Niger by UN Court wich tried them for Genocide Related crimes
The Ex Convicted are Zigiranyirazo protais Also known as Mister Z, who was born on the 2 February 1934 in Gisenyi, Nzuwonemeye Francois Xavier born on the 30 August 1955 in Kigali, Nteziryayo Alphonse born on the 26 August 1947 in Butare. Muvunyi Tharcisse Born on the 15 August 1953 in Byumba Ntagerura Andre Born on the 2 Janury 1950 in Karengera , Nsengiyumva Anatole Born on the 4 September in Gisenyi, Mugiraneza Prosper born on the 2 January 1957 in Kibungo and Sagahutu Innocent Born on the 30 May 1962 in Cyangugu.
What Politicians like Dr Frank Habineza, Hon Mukankusi and Mpayimana Philipe think on this expulsion?
Dr Frank Habineza the Leader of Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR) and the parlement Representative claim that Rwanda is for Rwandans and it is their Country so they should not keep staying in exil.
He said” they had completed their sentences, there is no problem if they come back home and live in Rwanda. They shouldn’t fear any things because they had already completed their sentences.
There are so many others who Committed crimes and got convicted while others were forgiven but now they are living with other Rwandan. Rwanda cannot refuse to welcome it people, they should come back home if they wish.
Depite Christine Mukabunani the Leader of political Party PS. Imberakuri says that if those countries refuse to take them in, including those host their families they may come back home to their country if they so wish. She added that The Government of Rwanda cannot prevent any Rwanda to return home.
She said:” it those Country refuse to take them in, they may come back home to their country.
I don’t think that the Government should prevent them from returning to their home land. They have completed their Sentences and i advise them not to stay in exil but come back to their Country.
Mpayimana Philipe says that, these people shouldn’t be considered as unordinary persons.
He said:” they are now considered as refugees. it is up for them to make their own decision. but after they had completed their sentences they would choise to came back to Rwanda father than staying in Exil, but they Decided to flead Rwanda. they will leave Niger to others Countries until they willingly decide to come back home.
I Think at the level of Ministry of unite and reconciliation, the problem of these Rwandan expelled from Niger will be Discussed together with others problems of Rwandan Refugees escalated acroos the wolrd.
Dr Bizimana Jean Damascene the Rwandan Minister of unite and Reconciliation refuse to comment on this issue claiming that it is The Ministry of Justice responsible for dealing with this matter.
