FARDC spokesperson Gen. Leon Kasonga said the FARDC would repeatedly beat the RDF forces in a short period of time by forgetting our RDF support on the history of Mobutu Sese Seko war.
In a recent speech on RTNB national television, Gen. Leon Kasonga spoke about the tensions between Rwanda and DR Congo, and accused the Rwandan government of supporting the M23 rebels, when asked if the FARDC forces can compete completely the RDF . He replied that :”Yes, we can win the RDF because we are the 11th army in Africa,” he said.
The remarks prompted many political and military analysts to criticize the Congolese general who became a soldier during Mobutu’s time, saying that he had forgotten the history of the Rwandan army after restoring security in various countries and confronting more than one country. five had come under fire from Laurent Kabila’s government.
Analysts say the FARDC military appears to be out of control as it is represented by more than 200 rebels including the FDLR, RUD URUNANA and not forgetting ADF NALU’s long-running killings in Beni and Ituri, all indicate that government forces have failed to fight them. And until now those rebels are still relaxing in DRCongo.
Gen. Kasonga also ignored the issue of government soldiers selling arms and rebels and one of the Mai Mai rebels born out of the low courtesy of the state army, women being raped by the rebels and government soldiers. , the divisions and racism that has plagued the military this issue are shown by the tangible facts to all population and soldiers speak Kinyarwanda especially located or serving in North Kivu and South Kivu have been marginalized to all sector of life and sent to distant provinces for persecution and so on.
Analysts also note that Gen. Kasonga made the remarks without hesitation not to see how Rwanda used to send it’s soldiers in different countries for UN peacekeepers and awarded different Medals for being a professional and courteous soldier. such as in Mali, Central Africa, South Sudan and elsewhere and that ones shows a good image by the Rwandan army(RDF)
While the FARDC has a lot of footage of how its soldiers get drunk in sportlight where they fight with the civilians and the police on raod. Unemployed and uninsured are being treated by their families, and all kind of desorders and problems of FARDC really can not allow Gen. Kasonga’s forces to fight at least for 30 minutes with the RDF.
