After Dr Jimmy Gasore, the new Minister of Infrastructure was sworn in , President Paul Kagame advised him through a word of wisdom, which will help him fulfill his responsibilities as long as he is in the newly appointed office.
On this September 13, 2023, during the swearing-in ceremony of the new Minister of Infrastructure, Dr. Jimmy Gasore, President Paul Kagame has advised him to avoid those who tell him words but to do things the way he feels.
“Don’t be fooled by those who tell you words, you will do things as you feel and you deserve to feel them. Also, I think that if it is a problem we have in general, Rwandans prefer to talk more than to do.Don’t listen to the words of others to distract you but only listen to what is good for you.He said”
President Paul Kagame also wished Minister Gasore good work, reminding him to perform his duties well as contained in his oath.
He asked all leaders in general to prioritize the interests of the country before looking after themselves, even if everyone has the right to improve his life.
“First of all, I don’t know why it should be repeated often, every day, every time, in those institutions to serve Rwandans and serve the country. You must first prioritize the interests of the country and Rwandans before prioritizing your own interests even though everyone has the right to improve his life” President Kagame added.
Dr. Jimmy Gasore, who was appointed as the Minister of Infrastructure, replaced Dr Nsabimana Ernest . he worked in various sectors such as being a researcher in the Rwanda Observatory Project and a teacher at the University of Rwanda.
He also launched a climate change monitoring agency in 2003 while Between 2017 and 2018, he led the project of the National Environment Agency (REMA), which aimed to control the state of air pollutants in Rwanda.
