Fierce clashes resurface between the M23 and the State Forces in collaboration with FDLR,Nyatura, Mai Mai rebels.
led by one of FDLR’s commandor Lt Noheri also known as “Imana y’intambara” wich means” Warlord’. The fighting is taking place in the locality of Nturo in Masisi territory, in the Bashali Kaembe grouping, in the areas ceded by the M23, notably Kirolwire, kibarizo, Busumba and Kirumbo.
These clashes, began on sundayOctober 1,2023 p.m according to a congolese investigative journalist Steve Wembi through his Twitter account.
The latter indicated that the rebel group FDLR in collaboration with the Mai Mai Nyatura group, are in violent fighting with the M23 in the locality of Nturo.
This information, have been also confirmed by the president of the ARC/ M23 rebel movement Bertrand Bisimwa via his Twitter account.
“The FDLR and Mai Mai Nyatura carried out an attack against the M23 as part of complying with the orders of the military governor of North Kivu, General Peter Cirimwami”.He declared,
The same information was also confirmed by one of The CMC Nyatura’s leader who requested anonymity for security reasons.
He revealed to a journalist from Rwanda Tribune who works in the city of Goma, that the attack is part of respecting and implementing the injunctions emanating from General Peter Cirimwami.
He added that they had received these orders in a meeting held in Goma last Wednesday, between the leadership of the FARDC in North Kivu headed by Peter Cirimwami and that of the FDLR and the commandors team of the Wazalendo rebel groups.
Among other injunctions issued, provoke the M23 so that Kinshasa is not accused of the offense of triggering hostilities again, contrary to the recommendations of the heads of state in Luanda.
The situation thus presents itself at a time when the protagonists M23 and FARDC remain on the lookout for clashes.
