This is to say that the Burundian Government not only circumvented the conclusions of the EAC heads of state, but also challenged the cause of the M23 to take up arms.
The main profit of this Burundian government is none other than the extraction of minerals and precious stones which the DRC abounds in.
An attitude which nevertheless contrasts with the determination of other EAC countries, notably Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan, to scrupulously ensure impartial mediation, taking into account the awareness of the M23 cause generally composed by Rwandan-speaking Congolese.
Another fact, the presence of negative forces including the FDLR and the CNRD/FLN who are fighting the Rwandan government, and who operate jointly with the Burundian army alongside the FARDC in the clashes with the M23. A situation that worries more than one person, analysts point out.
All this gives rise to the idea of reflecting on the words of Kinshasa, according to which the FARDC and its allies aspire to the neutralization of the M23, to pursue it to Rwanda, qualified as the country of origin of this formation, to finally continue the war there. where applicable.
Consequently, the approach taken by Burundi to collaborate closely with groups determined to disrupt peace and security in neighboring countries under the pretext of the issue relating to the M23, could revive tensions and thus bring its countries into perspective of aggression , to initiate maneuvers to avoid the danger in advance.
It is with this in mind that these informed observers fear the worst in the region in the event that the other countries involved in the stabilization process in eastern DRC are revolted by this negative solidarity maintained by Kinshasa with the aim of muzzling a well-founded opinion.
