FDLR and FPP started fight of re-occupy their bases controlled by Mai Mai while they were on Battle against M23: Rwindi people are fleeing

Residents of Kanyabayonga, Mai ya Moto, Kanyamondo and Bambo  at outskirts of Rwindi National Park continue to flee due to the fear of FDLR fighters who continue to spread in the area.

One of the people living in the Kanyamondo area told  Actualites Rutchuru that after the FDLR and FPP decided to withdraw their fighters from the war against M23,  FDLR and FPP  have started the fight to re-occupy they bases occupied by Mai Mai Shetani ,Mai mai Kadima and  Mai mai CMC/FAPC lead by Gen Bigabo.

These FDLR-FPP bases occupied by Mai Mai Militia due to FDLR and FPP soldiers has left them to fight M23 in Bunagana.

Currently, the FDLR and FPP groups have started a war to retake the areas. The fighting has been going on for five days in Nyamirima and Nyamitwiwi areas since Monday of this week.

The area of ​​Rutshuru continues to be a hub of armed groups where at least twenty groups are located in that area. In these 20 Armed groups include FDLR, RUD URUNANA and FPP ABAJYARUGAMBA originated from Rwanda.
