The State Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) announced that preparations to eliminate the M23 rebel group, from the territory of the Congo, have come to an end.

The FARDC announced this, while the country remains insecure in North Kivu   especially in Masisi and Rutshuru  territories .

Sources say that the Kinshasa State Army (FARDC), has established heavy artillery in many areas located in the Masisi Territory with the aim of fighting the M23 gangs.

According to a Rwandatribune.com eyewitness in the territory of Masisi ,There is also a deployement of Many FARDC’s Soldier along with the FDLR fithers in the area know as Kurugi( Near Joseph Kabila’s farms) and they placed powerful long-range weapons called BM and Kateusha.

Elsewhere  in the  Kabati, Kurusengero and Makombo areas , the Congolese army made a deployment of many Nyatura and FDLR rebels, who are known to work closely with the FARDC forces  while In Kingi  area ,there is a mixture of FARDC forces , Nyatura and FDLR rebels.

In the area called Kumakara, many FARDC troops are stationed, and in the Kamanzi and Sadron farms, there is the FDLR Unity led by Colonel   Ruhinda, who is currently leading the special Force of this Rwandan  rebel group   based in eastern DRC.

Rwandatribune’s source , told us that the SADC forces who secretly came to goma  early last month and the  mercenaries , have been secretly infiltrated and set up in Sake area while Another group of large FARDC troops, reportedly arrived in Gashuga  near Mweso from Nyanzare areas.

All these forces are said to be aimed at destroying the so-called M23, according to the information given to us by reliable people who live in those areas.

The source continued to say that the senior officer in charge of the FARDC forces in South Kivu Lt Gen Philemon Yav, called his troops in the Lubirizi area and asked them to be alert, because the rebels of the M23 group want to launch attack in Uvira .

This coincides with the fact that the Burundian troops  who   have been  oparating  in the high Mountains of Minembwe, have been sent to work in the Ruzizi valley for more than a week, and it is believed that these soldiers have come to close the waterways that it is suspected that M23 would want to pass through for launching attacks in  south Kivu.
