The M23 rebel group, continues to fight the Congolese army (FARDC) in collabartion with Wazalendo, FDLR, the White Mercenaries and the Burundian forces.
After the heavy fighting that started on Saturday morning at 1:12 minutes, the M23 rebels has now revealed the state force’s weapons and other military equipment, including two drones that were captured in the fighting.
The fighting took place in various areas including Bwiza ,Kitshanga, Tongo, Kinyandonyi and other places. Until this Monday, M23 is still occupying many areas that had been under the control of the state Forces(FARDC), Wazalendo and FDLR rebels for almost two weeks.
Among other weapons that the M23 fighters cuptured in this fighting, are those of the PKM type that were delivered to Wazalendo, the gun stock that was in Kitshanga, and even about 17 Hibou Special Forces sniper weapons.
On the other hand, there are soldiers from a special unit in the State Army known as Hibou special force, who were besieged by M23 in the city of Kitshanga. Now the Central Command of the Congolese Army, has started asking the M23 fighters to rescue and realese them.
According to a Rwandatribune eyewitness in Kicanga, these Hibou Spacial have no way to escape to MONUSCO headquater due to the fact that M23 had already besieged them.
