RUD URUNANA senior leaders are raising 4 crores of bribe to Kakumiro police Officers in shutting down all charges alleged their top officials.
On September 17, Uganda Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) agents arrested RUD URUNANA senior leader at Gakumiro Station in Mubende. Those were including Col Jean Marie Vianne Ntabanganyimana, Emmanuel Sebahire and ‘Solange, a woman whom it said to be in charge of the campaign.
The charges against them were aimed at inciting the people to join armed groups and raise money to send RUD URUNANA fighters, bases in Binza , Rutshuru Territory. Rwandatribune’s source in Gayaza noted that The RNC militants, who had seen the authorities collecting shillings in the area, heard that they were jealous and appealed to the authorities.
The witness, whose name was changed to Putin for security reason , said that on December 12, there was a general meeting of RUD URUNANA members, chaired by Jean Marie Vianney Ntabanganyimana, the main issue was to raise 4 million shillings of Bribery to Kakumiro police Officers for suspension of the charges alleged RUD top Officials.
Witness also said that the meeting was held in Nyamarunda where the participants collected 170,000 shillings. One of the participants, who did not want to be named for his safety, said that the reason why the meeting wasn’t productive; The authorities initially falsely claimed that the money they were collecting was to give tickets and to the young men whom they want to send in RUD URUNANA’s Camp, who later turned it into a bribe they were going to give to the Uganda Police, which was confusing those who normally support them.
The Eye witness testified that Ntabanganyimana was discovered by locals, while he went to scum and said that he represented the FDLR and RUD URUNANA. The contribution Ntabanganyimana collected on behalf of RUD URUNANA, He spent it in Kampala where he bought a villa.
The RUD URUNANA Militiamen group was founded in 2003 by Gen Ndibabaje Musare where he joined Maj Kanyamibwa ,around 2016 when Gen Musare was assassinated by Candayira fighters, and replaced by Gen Africa Jean Michael with Maj Pilote Kanyamibwa. The RUD Urunana rebels have since joined forces with the FDU Inkingi party.
