The Uganda Chieftaincy Military Intelligence (CMI) arrested two RUD-URUNANA top officials according to information reaching to our desk.
The two in custody are Col Jean Marie Vianne Ntabanganyimana and Emmanuel Sebahire who were arrested five days ago in Mubende District coming from collecting fund from Rwandan refugees.
Col Ntabanganyimana is a coordinator for RUD-URUNANA while Sebahire is in charge of mobilization and recruitment in Uganda.
According to our source, the two were arrested when they had collected around UGX 30 Million.
“Ugandan should hand these evildoers to Rwanda to face justice, otherwise it will be another sign shows that Ugandan government is still supporting those who want to destabilize Rwanda.” a source in Mubende tells Rwanda Tribune
Many of Rwanda nationals living in Mubende District say that the arrest of these top RUD-URUNANA’s officials will determine the commitment of Ugandan government to restore good relationship with Rwanda.
There is no any report released by the government of Uganda concerning this arrest. The two are reportedly to be transferred to CMI headquarters tomorrow in Mbuya.
Last year, RUD-URUNANA involved in attack in Musanze district of Northern province, claiming the lives of 14 innocent residents.
Five amongst the attackers caught confirmed they joined the terrorist group through Uganda.
Recall, RUD-URUNANA separated from Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR).
