The fighting that took place in the Duwane area in the Tongo grouping of the Rutshuru territory involved various FARDC and FDLR soldiers against M23.
In this battle , Capt. Maposo, who was leading the FARDC forces joined forces with the FDLR rebels against the M23, lost his life along with other FARDC and FDLR soldiers.
Capt. Maposo ,is a FADRC soldier who was in charge of training FDLR fighters in the military school of this rebel group known as “ESM” located in Tongo area in Rutshuru territory.
The interaction of Capt Maposo of FARDC with FDLR rebels and the fact that he fell in an attack he joined with these rebels, is another sign that shows the cooperation between the Congolese Army (FARDC) and FDLR rebels aiming to disrupt the security of Rwanda.
Capt. Maposo Elindosia, along with eight other FARDC soldiers, was sent on a special mission by Lt. Gen. Chiko Tchitambwe in charge of military operations in the FARDC forces. It was a mission aimed at helping the FDLR rebels in term of trainning them and increase their capacity in the area of Tongo, Rutshuru territory.
He was killed together with other FDLR fighters and other FARDC inspectors who usually work together in training these FDLR rebels.
This happens while the Government of Rwanda and other international organizations such as the UN, EU… have been accusing the DRC Government of working with the FDLR rebels, including giving them weapons, money and having other military cooperation.
A politician who is opposed to the government of the Congo, Mr. Coluneye Enanga, the former President of the Electoral Commission (CENI) ,recently announced that among the soldiers protecting President Felix Tshisekedi include FDLR fighters sent by Gen.Omega who is the commander-in-chief of these rebels .
