Evidence continues to show that there is cooperation between the Government of the DRC and the groups against the Government of Rwanda, especially the well-known FDLR, which was founded by people who participated in the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994.
It was after that President Tshisekedi’s Government requested the FDLR, FDU Inkingi and Jambo ASBL to work together in order to establish a coalition called “All For Rwanda” which was later founded in Kinshasa in May 2023.
After that, President Tshisekedi approached those in the RNC and others who had separated from it, asking them to work together again by promising them support with intention of overthrowing the government of Rwanda.
This was done quickly and those who separated from the RNC group met with others led by Gervais Condo who is the current General secretary of RNC, in a meeting held in Washington DC in the United States of America on the 20 May 2023.
At the end of the meeting, the participants issued a joint statement signed by Prof. Charles Kambanda saying that they have established a Platform called PBCR (Platform for Rwandans’ Common Good) which aims to oppose the Rwandan regime.
There is also a postponed meeting, which was supposed to connect President Tshisekedi with the groups against the Rwandan Government, That was supposed to be held in Kinshasa on July 3, 2023.
Another sign that shows the cooperation between President Tshisekedi and the FDLR
On July 2, 2023, the M23 group announced that it captured fighters from the Wazalendo rebel group, including 9 members of the FDLR.
These FDLR fighters have been caught in a long-standing conflict with the M23 rebel group and the Wazalendo rebel group, which is made up of different rebel groups operating in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in coraboraton with FARDC.
After the capture of these FDLR rebels, one of the leaders of M23 identified them and they themselves announced where they came from and where they were captured.
All of them showed that they were arrested in different areas such as Tongo Group, in the Masisi and Binza zones and they admitted that they are supported by the DRC Government in order to fight M23 as well as having a plan to attack Rwanda.
Talking to a Rwanda tribune reporter who was at the scene, Commander Colonel Nzenze Imani Jonh of M23 who is usually known for his few words, said that he did not have much to say but that the cuptured themselves would speak out what is in their hearts:
